Serving at the Altar of God

The liturgy is the source and summit of our Christian life. Through our liturgical ministries, we have the privilege of assisting the whole community in worshiping God with reverence, beauty, and joy. We invite you to consider how your talents might be used for the glory of God.

Altar Servers

Young people who assist the priest during Mass, bearing the cross and candles, and helping with the preparation of the gifts.

Eligibility:

Youth ages 10-18 who have received First Communion

Lectors/Readers

Ministers who proclaim the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word, reading the First and Second Readings and the Responsorial Psalm.

Eligibility:

Confirmed Catholics with clear speaking voices

Eucharistic Ministers

Young people who assist the priest during Mass, bearing the cross and candles, and helping with the preparation of the gifts.

Eligibility:

Confirmed, practicing Catholics in good standing

Choir

Singers who lead the congregation in hymns, psalms, and liturgical responses, enhancing the beauty and solemnity of the Mass.

Eligibility:
All ages with a love for singing

Ushers/Hospitality

The face of the parish who welcome parishioners, assist with seating, collect the offertory, and distribute bulletins.

Eligibility:
Friendly adults and youth

Sacristans

Dedicated individuals who prepare the altar, sacred vessels, and liturgical books before Mass and ensure everything is properly stored afterwards.

Eligibility:
Responsible adults with attention to detail

Musicians

Instrumentalists who provide musical accompaniment for the choir and congregation, lifting hearts and minds to God through music.

Eligibility:
Skilled musicians (piano, organ, guitar, etc.)

Commentators

Ministers who provide brief explanations, welcome the congregation, and read the Prayers of the Faithful (General Intercessions).

Eligibility:
Clear speakers with good reading skills

Cleaners & Maintenance

The ‘Martha Ministry’ that ensures the house of God remains clean, organized, and beautiful for all celebrations.

Eligibility:
Hardworking volunteers willing to serve
